- Listen to the Patient in the Scanner Room
- Talk back to the Patient When Required
- Option to Play Music for the Patient’s Comfort
- Option to Have a Patient Call Pendant
Scanner to Control Room Intercom Description
Scanner to Control Room Intercom to provide Communications between the patient in the scanner room and the control room is provided via a speaker and microphone mounted in the ceiling of the scanner room and a master station in the control room.
This system will only work if the patient is not in an enclosed scanner. most enclosed scanners have a built-in communications device.
Scanner to Control Room Intercom Operation
Operation
- To communicate with the patient on the Scanner press the “Call” key, this will open the communication system in Listen to only mode, then press and hold the “PTT” key to talk to the patient, let go to return to listen mode, Patient in the theatre cannot hear operator without the “PTT” key being pressed.
When Pressing the “PTT” key relay will cut music from Avid if fitted.
Close System
- At the end of the procedure to cancel all communications (Switch OFF) press “Close”
Music Option:
Operation
- Turn on your Music System and link your Music source via, Cable or Bluetooth
Patient Call Pendant Option (Nurse Call):
Operation
- The patient can call to the control room by pressing the call button on the handheld Pendant. This will activate an Alarm panel in the control room. giving an audible and visual alarm. there is a reset button on the alarm panel, and remote lights and sounders can be fitted if required.
Close System
To cancel all communications press “X”.
This system is installed in a number of hospitals in the UK.
Note. Care must be taken when selecting the correct filter for the Faraday cage.
